The reason I booked tickets for this was for the name. Sock Puppets. Falsetto. Scottish. How could that not be funny? Thank god they did not disappoint, as this was the funniest show I have ever seen!
The guy behind this is an absolute genius. He hid behind a Punch & Judy style stage wearing a sock on each hand, and proceeded with the most side-splitting theatrics for an hour. The theme of this show was 'Hollywood' so we got sketches covering most of the film genres, including a brilliantly done mix of romantic, sports and political, film noir, foreign films and musicals. There was also a tribute to Michael Jackson that gave me tears in my eyes because it was so funny, a hilarious Swine Flu song and a brilliantly rude Turrett's Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
If it's not already sold out I can't express how much I think everyone should see this. It's on at 10.15pm at Teviot in the Billiard Room. If not, then please look them up on YouTube.
